The winners of the Climate-Friendly Award have been selected

This year the Association of Climate-Friendly Municipalities created an award which will be handed out every year from now on.  Because of the number and quality of applications, the Judging Committee created four categories and selected a winner for each one.

Between the capital districts District XIII. and XVIII. of the city of Budapest were selected as winners.

Between the cities with county rights Municipality of Szeged and Municipality of Kaposvár was selected as winners.

Between small and medium cities the Municipality of Ózd won the first place, and Municipality of Szarvas was awarded with the Adaptation Best Practice Special Price.

Between villages, Municipality of Gyenesdiás won the first place,  and  the Municipality of Püspökszilágy won the Climate Innovator Special Price.

We would also like to thank each applicant municipality for the participation and congratulations to the winners for the amazing achievements and efforts.

We offer two prizes to the winners, just as we promised: a promotion video, in which we would like to present the climate protection activities of the awarded municipality, and 10 hours of expert consultation time.

The diploma, the indoor award and the outdoor plaque will be awarded during the second quarter of 2021, if the pandemic situation allows it.
