"Municipalities as integrators and coordinators
in adaptation to climate change"
On 26-27 June 2019, the annual meeting of the International Commission for the Protection of the Danube River (ICPDR) was organized by the Ministry of Interior in Budapest. The organization, founded in 1998, is responsible for the sustainable and balanced use of water in the Danube River Basin. Currently, 15 countries are members of the Commission, and Hungary holds the rotating presidency of the commission in 2019.
During the two-day event, the LIFE-MICACC project was presented by the project leader through formal consultations, expert working group meetings and thematic presentations. In addition to the presentations, other events, like water sampling from the Danube also enriched the program.
