"Municipalities as integrators and coordinators
in adaptation to climate change"

LIFE-MICACC e-learning training course

The Ministry of Interior has launched a free online training for Hungarian local governments entitled “Municipal Vulnerability and Adaptation to Climate Change”.

We would like to bring your attention to the free e-learning training material developed within the framework of the LIFE-MICACC project coordinated by the Ministry of Interior, which deals with local adaptation to climate change and water retention.

The training course contains 6 online, interactive modules, which aims to provide important and innovative knowledge to local governments that will support them in preparing for the negative effects of climate change and identifying local adaptation options. The topic is highly actual; emphasis will be placed on it in the EU financial cycle between 2021-2027. We hope that this e-learning course will provide useful information for your municipality, contributing to a better and more sustainable common European future; and also that it can support and encourage even more high-level domestic developments, taking into account the climate protection aspect.

We created personal user accounts for every Hungarian mayor and notary, which was sent out by e-mail on the 26th-27th November 2020. The e-learning course can be reached by clicking here. If you have any problem with the login, please contact out colleagues through e-mail (life@bm.gov.hu).

After successfully completing the course, the user has the opportunity to request a certificate issued by the Ministry of Interior on completing an online training. More information can be found on the e-learning website.

We wish you a good reading and browsing time for the e-learning course!
