"Municipalities as integrators and coordinators
in adaptation to climate change"
In Part 3 of our knowledge-sharing app series, we introduce the interactive features that help you stay up to date with news and events, and provide tools to increase your knowledge about natural water retention measures and climate change.
One of the main features of the app is the News and Events section, where information on water management and climate change is regularly uploaded. On the one hand, these can be conferences, workshops, where interested parties (municipalities, water experts and everyday people) can find out about professional events that will contribute to their knowledge. On the other hand, they can be water-related events affecting the country or a particular region (e.g. pollution in a given watercourse or flooding, inland excess water risk in a given area). In addition, funding opportunities will be available under this menu item to help municipalities mitigate water risks from climate change. Aside from the already mentioned attributes, the News and Events section informs users about various project events (e.g. conferences, roadshows).
Among other things, you can register here for the 5 online roadshows, which will take place in April-May with interesting presentations on the project, the adaptation guidelines of the national water strategy and thematic water issues. In addition, the prototypes implemented in the project and the results of the runoff models will be presented, as the application too.
The app also has two other interactive features not covered in previous parts of this series. The first is the “Quiz”, where new questions on water management and climate change are also regularly posted encouraging users to expand their knowledge.
Another interactive feature is to “Comments” menu, shere you can interact with other users in different “chat rooms” in Hungarian and English (e.g. General, Flood, Excess water) and share your experiences and knowledge on different topics. We encourage all users to post questions in this forum. You can also post comments and ask questions under “News and Events”.
We hope that our continuously updated content will contribute to a more effective knowledge development by sharing our project experiences and knowledge on natural water retention measures, and will provide an opportunity to facilitate communication between stakeholders and interested parties.
