"Municipalities as integrators and coordinators
in adaptation to climate change"

Bátya on a roadshow

Csaba Fekete presenting the municipality's Renewable Energy and Climae Action Plan

The Municipality of Bács-Kiskun County launched a series of events entitled “Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan – SECAP”, which was also invited by the Municipality of Bátya to present the completed SECAP plan to the other municipalities in the county.

Bátya has been committed to climate protection for years, but so far the settlement has not have a detailed strategic planning document, that would give an overview of the consequences of climate change in Bátya. In addition to our Hungarian-English Climate Vulnerability Assessment completed in the framework of our LIFE project, in August last year, Bátya also prepared the Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan (SECAP), which among other things, undertakes to reduce CO2 emissions by 40% by 2030. The document can be accessed via the link below.
